BEHIND THE TRACK
DINOSAURIO was the first track Manz and Rob Z worked on together. Manz already had the intro and several riffs, but much of the song took shape as they worked through it piece by piece, improvising and keeping the ideas that felt right.
Some guitar parts were captured spontaneously, while the drums developed through an exchange of ideas about rhythm, changes and sudden stops. One of the final clean tapping riffs had actually been written by Manz more than fifteen years earlier and unexpectedly found its place in the song.
A malfunctioning guitar cable also became part of the recording. Instead of removing the strange sound it produced, they kept it and turned the accident into part of the track.
