BEHIND THE TRACK
Insatiable began with a riff Manz and Rob Z created together while improvising during rehearsals for an earlier band. Years later, that idea became the foundation for what Rob envisioned as Made Alien’s heaviest and darkest track.
Manz used a seven-string guitar in an alternate tuning (G–D–G–C–F–A–D), while the arrangement gradually developed through ideas from both musicians. Rob composed the drum parts, including an unexpected rhythmic shift before the song drops back into its original heavy riff.
Some guitar ideas came directly from Rob’s suggestions, while other spontaneous parts were kept because Rob heard something in them that Manz initially didn’t. That exchange became an important part of how the track took shape.
